Shire Rack Westwards - Rushmore
Dorset/Wiltshire borderField Visit

Location: Rushmore Golf Club, Rushmore Park, Tollard Royal, Salisbury, SP5 5QB.
ST957187; (395780, 118790)
Pass through Sixpenny Handley village on the B3081 heading towards Tollard Royal.
The golf club entrance is signed and about a mile further on the right hand side.
The drive takes you through the Rushmore Park. When the road divides, take the right hand fork (signed Golf Club). You will cross a cattle grid into the golf course, the clubhouse is ahead, with the car
park behind it.
Andrew has been in touch with the Rushmore Golf Club where we have permission to park our cars – and which will give us access to the western end of the Shire Rack – to Beornham’s Way and the Bica’s Seat of the Chalke charter – and running on south along Tinkley Bottom – Tilluch’s Lea. And we will be very welcome to assemble at the Golf Club for our ‘post walk sit down’ – and to catch up with things.
Later this year the AONB will be making a start at assembling a programme further to the ‘management’ of their HLFund.
